Responsible for helping practice and physician achieve all meaningful use measures. Demonstrates effective use and support of the Customer and Superior Service Standards, within the hospital and physician office settings, at all times. Functions under the supervision of the physician and the Practice Manager/Office Supervisor. **Key Responsibilities** + Organizes and reviews incoming test results and forwards them to the physician, tracking impending test results and following up with patients as needed. + Recognizes and responds to emergencies. + Performs tests and prepares specimens for outside lab testing as ordered by the physician. + Maintains examination rooms and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness. + Manages inventory of clinical supplies, bio-hazardous waste, and sample medications, ensuring proper labeling, disposal, and sterilization of instruments. + Prepares and assists patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. + Maintains medication and immunization records.
