Ideal Candidate A highly analytical Technical Analyst who is comfortable owning requirements, refining Jira stories, troubleshooting data and production issues, running SQL queries, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and serving as the communication bridge between business stakeholders and development teams.


Role Overview : The Technical Analyst serves as the liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams. This role is responsible for refining requirements, managing Jira backlog items, troubleshooting production issues, supporting data operations, and ensuring development teams have clear, actionable requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

• Refine and prioritize Jira stories, bugs, enhancements, and technical work items for development teams.
• Gather, document, and clarify business and technical requirements.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including standups, backlog refinement sessions, and requirements discussions.
• Act as the primary point of coordination between Product Owners, Developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot production issues and investigate root causes.
• Support data operations, including monitoring and managing client data feed queues.
• Assist with onboarding new client data feeds and resolving reconciliation issues when data transmissions fail.
• Communicate status updates and findings to both internal teams and external clients.

Products Supported:

1. Payroll Platform
   • Small Agile team consisting of a Product Owner, Developer, and QA resource.
   • Responsible for requirements analysis, backlog refinement, and production support.
2. Advisory Lab Portal
   • Financial advisor platform used to generate reports and client-facing pitch decks.
   • Similar Agile team structure with responsibility for analysis, bug triage, and requirements management.

Required Skills:

• 3-5+ years of Technical Analyst or Business Systems Analyst experience.
• Strong experience writing and executing SQL queries for troubleshooting and data analysis.
• Experience refining user stories, requirements, and Jira backlog management.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and work across multiple system layers.
• Experience with data operations, integrations, data feeds, and reconciliation processes.
• Ideally come from Financial services or insurance industry.

Nice to Have:

• Financial services, wealth management, insurance, or retirement services experience.
• Exposure to AI tools such as Claude for analysis and SQL generation.
