Manager, Data Governance

This role will ensure that data is trusted, compliant, well-managed, and AI-ready across the organization.The ideal candidate combines strong governance foundations with practical experience supporting AI use cases, responsible AI frameworks, and data lifecycle management in complex environments.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAI-READY DATA GOVERNANCE STRATEGYSupport the definition and implementation of data governance framework aligned to AI and advanced analytics initiativesHelp standards for high-quality, well-documented, ethically sourced data suitable for AI model training and deploymentPartner with AI/ML teams to ensure governance requirements are embedded into model development lifecyclesRESPONSIBLE AI & RISK OVERSIGHTAssist in applying responsible AI guidelines, including practices related to data quality, transparency, and risk awarenessCollaborate with Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and ethical standardsDATA STEWARDSHIP & OWNERSHIPSupport the definition of clear data ownership and stewardship roles across business domains within the regionHelp enable domain teams to manage their data as strategic AI assetsContribute to regional governance councils and working groups to help define governance rules and practices across the businessPRIVACY, SECURITY & COMPLIANCEHelp ensure AI datasets comply with data privacy regulations and internal security standardsSupport oversight of sensitive data handling, anonymization, and usage monitoringSupport data retention and lifecycle management policiesCHANGE MANAGEMENT & ENABLEMENTDrive adoption of governance practices through training, communication, and toolingPromote a culture of data literacy and AI accountabilityAct as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on AI data risks and opportunitiesQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSBachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or enterprise data strategyExperience supporting AI/ML, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiativesStrong understanding of data lifecycle management, metadata, lineage, and quality frameworksKnowledge of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)Experience implementing governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica, Purview, etc.)PREFERREDExperience with AI governance frameworks or model risk managementFamiliarity with MLOps, model monitoring, and AI audit requirementsUnderstanding of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data ecosystemsCertifications such as CDMP, DCAM, DAMA, or AI governance credentialsPlease note: This position does not offer sponsorship for employment visas.
