Java Engineer III (Big Data , Spring boot, NoSQL, Cassandra)

CTG is seeking to fill a Java Engineer III position for our client. Employment Terms Location: Phoenix, AZ Duration: Ongoing Contract Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable Java-based applications and services. Build and enhance applications using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. Develop solutions utilizing Big Data technologies and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra. Analyze complex technical issues and independently implement effective solutions. Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis to resolve application issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deliver software solutions. Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities while following development best practices. Support application performance, reliability, and scalability improvements. Skills Strong experience with Java development. Experience with Spring Framework and Spring Boot. Experience working with Big Data technologies. Working knowledge of NoSQL databases, with Cassandra experience preferred. Ability to independently make application changes, test solutions, and deploy updates. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Experience 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Java development. 3+ years of experience working with Spring and Spring Boot. Experience developing and supporting enterprise‑level applications. Experience with Cassandra/NoSQL technologies is a plus. Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications. Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
