Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process. This role requires adherence to the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse will demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of patient care, while collaborating with healthcare team members. Ongoing clinical competencies will be maintained through continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to ensure quality patient care.
• Demonstrate critical thinking in clinical decision-making.
• Provide direction and supervision to assigned patient care personnel.
• Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training.
• Delegate patient care priorities based on staff capabilities.
• Float between various departments as needed.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, working three 12-hour shifts per week, with a commitment to six weekend shifts in a six-week schedule.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active AZ RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting
• Experience with Cerner EMR is required
