Responsibilities With moderate supervision, assist the store management team in executing and supervising all store activities. Provide best-in-class guest service, greet guests, respond to questions/concerns promptly and courteously, assist guests in meeting their video gaming needs, inform guests about promotions and the trade-in program, and cultivate guest loyalty. Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational elements, and nurture guest relationships that lead to sales and repeat business. Process guest purchases and returns accurately via the POS system while ensuring top-notch guest service. Address guest comments or questions in person or by phone, ensuring prompt, courteous, and professional responses. Promote GameStop’s guest benefits such as title reservations and the Pro Rewards loyalty program. Maintain a clean, organized store and ensure store fixtures and equipment are in proper working order. Ensure restrooms and other areas are clean and merchandised per guidelines. Complete Omni-Channel orders daily. Safeguard company assets through inventory control and loss prevention practices, including scam awareness and safe banking practices as required. Conduct store inventory counts, stock merchandise on shelves and fixtures, and move products from stock to selling floor to ensure representation and organization. Assist in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative and operational duties. Count and reconcile daily POS totals; complete closeout paperwork and bank deposits following established guidelines. Check shipments for discrepancies and record findings in the POS system; report discrepancies to management as needed. Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls, ensuring labeling and packing lists are correct. Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates in the absence of management. Adhere to GameStop policies and procedures and follow opening/closing procedures. Observe associate performance and provide timely feedback to store management. Qualifications Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must be at least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent required. At least 1 year of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred. Video game knowledge preferred. Must be able to work alone, stand, and move throughout the store unassisted for up to 10 hours per day. Required Job Skills And Abilities Exceptional guest service skills and genuine, friendly assistance to every guest. Clear verbal and written communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment; meet performance expectations for attendance and grooming. Operate the POS system and complete required paperwork; basic math and alphabetical skills. Self-motivation and ability to work as a team; problem-solving skills and good judgment. Follow written, oral, or diagram instructions; deliver bank deposits following loss prevention safety guidelines. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; minimum 3 days/week availability. Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift merchandise up to 30 lbs; stand/move for up to 10 hours per day.
