This role involves providing both routine and complex nursing care in a dynamic inpatient environment, with a focus on achieving long-range clinical goals. The successful candidate will work independently, demonstrating situational awareness in similar clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Meet expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family, and caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
• RN License in state of employment or compact
