Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit Job Type: Full-time | Variable 12-hour shifts and 2 weekends per month with and major holidays. How you'll contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. What we're looking for Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include: Two years of acute care experience or One year of cardiac unit experience or Greater than Six months current employment as RN in a Critical Care Unit BSN, MSN Preferred Current BLS/CPR certification. Current ACLS certification, Basic Dysrhythmia Course, Critical Care Course or acquire within 6 months of employment. Trauma Nurse Course current or acquire within 1 year PALS certification current or acquire within 2 years.
