Server Position At Power's Irish Pub

Power's Irish Pub, Inc. is a family-owned Irish Pub and Restaurant in a building with over 230 years of history. We know our success is built on great employees and try to return that by creating a fun and rewarding place to work. We offer great food in a casual environment.

We are currently seeking an experienced server to join our team. We open at noon and the kitchen closes at 9PM, Tuesday through Sunday. Typical lunch shifts are 11:30 AM to 4 PM and dinner shifts are 4 PM to closing around 10PM.

We are looking for servers for day and night shifts and weekends.

Duties include:

• Excellent customer service, including patience and a friendly demeanor

• Learning food and drink menu items, including daily specials

• Engaging customers to explain menu items, specials and drinks

• Carrying trays of food and drinks up and down stairs

• Bus tables and perform side work to keep restaurant clean and presentable

• Maintain a personal "bank" for cash transactions and manage cash throughout shift

• Exceptional organization and time management

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Great active listening skills

• Ability and willingness to collaborate

• Knowledge of food service regulations and proper food handling procedures

• Capability to learn quickly and memorize menu details

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Willing to work flexible work schedules that include nights and weekends

• Physically able to be on their feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds unassisted

PLEASE INCLUDE THE AVAILABILITY FORM WITH YOUR APPLICATION. Applicants must be 18 years of age to comply with state law regarding service of alcohol. Tips are a major portion of compensation, servers are expected to share tips with bartenders and food runners who assist them. Power's applies a five dollar an hour tip credit to ensure servers earn at least $15/hr average weekly but does not charge administrative fees on credit card tips.
