Job Title Retail Merchandising Specialist - New Store Opening Location Pflugerville, TX Job Type 1 Week Project - Freelance (June 15, 2026 - June 19th, 2026) Pay $21-$23 per hour (rate based on market and relevant experience) Expected Hours 40 Hours per Week (1 week project) Job Overview Winston Retail is seeking a passionate, detail-driven apparel merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As an apparel merchandiser, you'll ensure clothing is styled, organized, and presented to reflect brand identity and attract shoppers. Working hands‑on in stores, you'll be responsible for styling mannequins and displays to create a polished, trend-forward shopping experience. Responsibilities Assists in setting up apparel displays, updating fixture signage, and cleaning departments in areas that have been remodeled Participates in stockroom management responsibilities and requires strong organizational skills Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs Ability to work independently and as part of a team in different store settings Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by assigned deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and writing feedback, using our Winston App on a smart device iOS: Use an iPhone 11 or newer Android: Use a 2020 or newer device with an OS no more than four versions behind the latest Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for the entire shift Schedule: 8-hour shift – Monday to Friday (no weekends) Experience & Skills Proven experience in retail apparel merchandising or a related field is preferred Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, and styling) Familiarity with planograms and visual directives is essential A keen eye for detail and creativity in presenting apparel displays Strong communication skills, both verbal and written A portfolio of work is preferred but not required Benefits Competitive hourly rate Paid online training Wellness benefits Opportunities for advancement Equal Opportunity Employer At Winston, we celebrate our diverse talent and unique skill sets, embracing change to grow stronger together.
