Make a difference in elementary education by supporting students’ communication needs through your expertise in speech language pathology. A full-time contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 academic year, serving grades K-5 in a dynamic school setting near Saint Helens, OR. You’ll have the benefit of working with a dedicated group of 80-85 students and receive valuable support from a full-time Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary-aged students in both a main campus and a nearby charter school.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to help identify students’ needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), ensuring alignment with student goals and state requirements.
- Lead and facilitate IEP meetings, collaborating with parents, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to foster student growth.
- Supervise and mentor the on-site SLPA to optimize workflow and service delivery.
- Maintain thorough case documentation and progress reports, contributing to ongoing compliance and communication with staff and families.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Current SLP-CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence).
- Active state licensure or eligibility in Oregon.
- Previous experience working with K-5 students in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong capacity for teamwork, flexibility, and communication.
- Ability to manage caseloads across different school environments.
