As a Senior Recruiter with the City of Colorado Springs, you'll serve as a senior member of the Recruiting team, leading complex recruitments and supporting citywide hiring initiatives. Working closely with the Recruiting Supervisor and fellow recruiters, you'll mentor Recruiter I staff, oversee key workforce programs, and help improve recruitment processes, technology, and candidate experience. Flexible scheduling options are available. This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year, and any furloughs subsequently approved.How You'll Make an Impact Lead the recruiting process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer development, and pre-employment completion for a wide variety of positions, including regular, seasonal, special, intern, volunteer, and elected officials roles. Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, provide expert guidance throughout the hiring process, and deliver exceptional customer service. Serve as a senior member of the Recruiting team by providing technical guidance, mentoring Recruiter I staff, supporting workflow coordination, and promoting quality, consistency, and continuous improvement. Lead and support key workforce programs, including military friendly initiatives, internship and seasonal hiring programs, volunteer initiatives, community partnerships, and recruitment outreach events. Recommend, develop, and implement process improvements that enhance recruitment operations, the candidate experience, and the City's talent acquisition strategy. Develop and maintain professional job announcements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), desk manuals, training materials, and other recruitment resources. Serve as the functional lead for NeoGov recruiting systems by supporting system administration, troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and ensuring data integrity. Develop, analyze, and present recruitment metrics using PeopleSoft, NeoGov, and other HR systems to evaluate performance and support data-driven decision-making. Assist with Requests for Proposals (RFPs), vendor and contract administration, special projects, and other related duties as assigned. Our organization views each year of further education as equivalent to each year of relevant work experience, and each year of additional relevant work experience as equivalent to each year of required education.Preferred QualificationsPrior experience recruiting in a municipal or other government environment.SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or related certification.Project and/or program management experience.Experience using NeoGov Insight and/or PeopleSoft HR.The following qualifications are not required, but they are considered desirable.
