Senior Caregiver Position

Location: West Jacksonville neighborhoods along the St. Johns River, including Riverside, Avondale, and surrounding areas (ZIPs: 32204, 32205, 32208, 32209, 32210, 32212, 32214, 32215, 32219, 32220, 32244, 32254)

What does a day in the life of a caregiver look like?

• Providing a helping hand.
• Have fun and engaging conversations with clients to build meaningful relationships.
• Participate in clients’ favorite hobbies (scrapbooking, gardening, games, etc.).
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing, bathing, and other activities of daily living.
• Document completed activities and report updates on clients’ physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Caregiver Qualifications:

• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA or HHA certification welcomed.
• Current in-person CPR certification required.
• Passion for helping others and serving the community.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a Level II background screening.
