Position Overview

TACG is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality, resolve customer and process concerns, and drive continuous improvement. This position works closely with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure product quality, prevent defects, and maintain compliance with applicable quality standards.

We are considering candidates for Quality Engineer Levels I-IV, with responsibilities and experience requirements based on qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate quality issues using root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions and countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
• Support customer complaints, warranty concerns, audits, and timely resolution of quality issues.
• Monitor and improve manufacturing and supplier quality performance through data analysis, process audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support new product launches, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Change Management activities.
• Maintain quality documentation and ensure compliance with applicable ISO and IATF requirements.
• Monitor SPC programs and utilize quality tools, including DOE, Gage R&R, and sampling techniques.
• Track and report quality metrics, identify trends, and recommend improvements to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to achieve quality, safety, delivery, and cost objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Manufacturing quality or quality engineering experience appropriate to the selected level.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and corrective action processes.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications and apply analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Experience by Level

• Quality Engineer I: 1+ year of related outside experience preferred; supports quality activities and assigned projects.
• Quality Engineer II: 3+ years of related outside experience preferred; independently resolves routine quality concerns and manages assigned activities.
• Quality Engineer III: 5+ years of related internal or external experience preferred; leads complex quality initiatives and manages projects independently.
• Quality Engineer IV: 5+ years of related experience, in addition to Level III qualifications; demonstrates advanced technical expertise and full-cycle project leadership.

Physical Requirements
