Job Description
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a real impact by supporting students’ communication needs as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist. This dynamic position is based in a school environment near Helotes, TX, providing the rewarding experience of helping students reach their full academic and social potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid SLP license for the state of Texas
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and evaluations to identify students requiring speech and language services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to address speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with families and school staff
- Consult and coach teachers and parents on strategies to support students’ communication skills in classrooms and at home
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing staff collaboration
