Job Description

The Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in a retail pharmacy setting, supporting pharmacists by managing medication dispensing, inventory, and prescription processing. Working within a small team of 1-3 technicians, this position ensures smooth pharmacy operations while delivering excellent customer assistance and maintaining regulatory compliance. The Pharmacy Technician reports directly to the Pharmacist, Pharmacy Manager, or Pharmacy Operations Supervisor, and there are clear opportunities for career advancement within the pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
Manage inventory and replenish stock efficiently
Assist customers with inquiries and transactions
Process prescriptions and perform data entry tasks
Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
Support billing and insurance claim processes
Collaborate effectively with the pharmacy team

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in pharmacy operations
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills in medication dispensing and inventory management
Strong customer service and communication abilities
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Teamwork and collaboration skills
