Join our dynamic team as a CDL A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. In this vital role, you'll operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, hauling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized equipment. Your expertise in driving, load & unload operations, and route planning will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security
Drive various types of trucks including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to meet diverse delivery needs
Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize delivery times while minimizing fuel consumption and vehicle wear
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, load details, and inspection reports in compliance with federal regulations

Skills

Proven experience driving commercial vehicles with a CDL A license, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions
Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks
Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and load & unload techniques using forklifts or other equipment
Excellent route planning skills to ensure timely deliveries across multiple destinations
Ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections and adhere to safety protocols consistently
Effective communication skills for coordinating with dispatch teams and clients
Physical ability to lift heavy cargo when necessary and perform routine vehicle maintenance checks
