Registered Nurse – CVOR

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and focused Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular surgical procedures. The CVOR RN is responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, supporting the surgical team, and ensuring patient safety throughout the operative process.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare CVOR suites with sterile equipment and supplies according to the surgical procedure plan.
• Circulate, scrub, or assist in cardiovascular surgeries such as CABG, valve replacements, aortic repairs, and other open-heart procedures.
• Monitor patient condition intraoperatively and coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Ensure proper handling of surgical specimens, instruments, and devices.
• Follow strict infection control and safety protocols throughout the operative and perioperative phases.
• Document patient care activities, medications, and procedural notes accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support continuity of care before and after surgery.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CVOR or cardiac surgery OR nursing.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CNOR certification is a plus.
• Expertise in sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and cardiovascular anatomy.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
