Step into an engaging school-based role supporting students across the Houston Metro area as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA). Several contract opportunities are available for maternity leave coverage at elementary and middle school campuses in various neighborhoods, with assignments initiating as early as January 2027. These positions are ideal for committed professionals with strong communication skills, a passion for helping children, and confidence navigating Houston’s diverse communities. Opportunities are campus-specific and start dates will vary; applicants must confirm their commute feasibility in advance due to the size and traffic of the district.

Qualifications:

• Active Texas SLPA license in hand (licensure screenshot required at submission)
• School-based SLPA experience in a comparable K-12 setting
• Reliable transportation and proven ability to commute to all assigned campuses
• Commitment to in-person service—remote options are not available
• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to supporting student growth

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct speech-language services to students as outlined in IEPs under SLP supervision
• Support assessment, data collection, and progress monitoring as directed
• Contribute to effective communication with educators, families, and supervisors
• Participate in campus meetings and support team goals
• Maintain organized service documentation and uphold confidentiality standards
