As a CNC VMC Setup Machinist, your day moves quickly and purposefully. You’ll set up and run 3–5 axis CNC mills , often tending multiple machines . In one moment you’re dialing in a tight-tolerance, one-off prototype ; the next, you’re optimizing a production run for consistency and throughput.

Expect to interpret detailed blueprints and GD&T , choose the right fixtures and tooling , and perform in-process inspections to confirm specs. You’ll occasionally edit G & M code at the control to fine-tune feed, speed, and tool paths—always with safety and shop standards front and center.

Schedule and shifts

• 4x10s Monday–Thursday with optional overtime
• 1st shift opening for candidates with strong 5-axis setup experience
• 2nd shift opening for candidates with strong 3-axis setup experience

What you’ll do

• Set up and operate CNC mills for short run, complex parts
• Edit programs at the machine on occasion
• Perform inspections to ensure conformance of specifications
• Interpret blueprints for specifications such as dimensions, tolerance & instructions
• Select and secure holding fixtures, tools, etc

What you bring

• Previous experience in setting up and operating CNC mill machines
• G & M Code experience
• Knowledge of safety
  protocols
  and shop procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Compensation

“In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $20/hr and $40+/hr. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.”
