The Mother/Baby Couplet Care (L&D MOM Baby) Nurse is a registered nurse practicing within the organization, focusing on providing compassionate and expert care to women and their newborns. This position involves delivering patient-centered care across a spectrum of ages, from infancy to adult, while collaborating with the inter-professional health care team to ensure optimal outcomes in a hospital setting. The nurse demonstrates proficiency in evidence-based practice, safety, and professionalism, supporting the organizations mission and core values.

Job Details

• Position Description: The qualified candidate will independently provide direct patient care using the nursing process, managing complex patient assignments suited to skill level.
• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of recent labor and delivery and antepartum experience; BSN degree preferred; current California RN license; American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification via AWHONN required.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include evaluating patient needs, participating in safety and quality improvement initiatives, utilizing evidence-based practices, and guiding unlicensed assistive personnel per organizational policies.
