Overview Patient Registration Representative Good Samaritan University Hospital | West Islip, NY Be the Calm in the Storm In our Level II Trauma Center, you are the first point of contact for patients in their moment of greatest need. This isn't just data entry; it’s about providing a compassionate start to life-saving care. Job Details The Role at a Glance Emergency Liaison: Rapidly register patients, verify insurance, and answer urgent questions with empathy. Flow Management: Use Cadence to manage high-volume patient arrivals and ensure clinical teams have accurate data. Precision: Handle cash posting, scanning, and demographic verification in a fast-paced environment. Quick Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Skills: Accurate typing (40–60 wpm) and data entry (5000 kph). Mindset: You thrive under pressure, stay organized during chaos, and truly care about people. Salary Range USD $22.46 - USD $26.67 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
