Anesthesiology - AnesthesiologistAstrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring an Anesthesiologist for a temporary assignment in Burlingame, California. These positions are 26-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.Responsibilities for an Anesthesiologist:Provide anesthesiology coverage in hospital operating room settings, including high acuity inpatient and outpatient surgical casesWork with a mixed practice of outpatient and inpatient surgical cases, with experience in high acuity (ASA 3+) cases preferredPerform regional anesthesia procedures as needed (preferred but evaluated on a case-by-case basis)Work solo in the operating room as the primary anesthesiologist, with occasional oversight of CRNAsFloat between multiple sister sites and ambulatory surgery centers to provide coverageCover general anesthesia cases and, on occasion, regional cases (no cardiac, liver, or neuro cases)Provide care for adults and adolescents 13 years of age and olderMaintain current Board Certification (or be truly board eligible, especially if fellowship trained)Hold a valid California state medical licenseMaintain a valid California DEA license with Schedule 2/2nMaintain current AHA BLS and ACLS certificationsUtilize Epic EMR system for documentation and chartingApply recent tertiary care center and/or medical center experience to clinical practiceApply trauma experience to high acuity patient care (strongly preferred)Commit to a minimum of 2 weeks of coverage per month (full-time preferred)Work shifts typically ranging from 8 to 11 hours in length with no fixed shift requirementsComply with COVID-19 vaccination requirements, including booster (medical/religious exemptions only)Submit current CV with any gaps greater than 6 months explained, provider questionnaire, and license verificationBe available to provide required credentialing information (DOB, SSN, license, contact information, and signed forms) within 72 hours of offer signing to initiate privileging processBenefits for an Anesthesiologist:Weekly pay every FridayComprehensive Professional Malpractice Insurance24/7 Recruitment SupportFull-service Credentialing and Corporate Travel TeamReferral Bonus up to $5,000
