QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST

We're looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Chicago-based Product Development and Quality team. This role is responsible for maintaining our Quality Documentation System, preparing quality-related documents, and collecting, inspecting, and testing raw materials and finished products to ensure food safety and compliance standards are met. Working cross-functionally with the Beverage Operations team, the QA Specialist will also help foster a culture of safety, quality excellence, and continuous improvement. The Deets: Review Certificates of Analysis and manage product release Review customer complaints and initiate root cause investigations Maintain the Shelf Life Testing program Evaluate supplier documentation. Enforce Ghost Beverages' product standards, ingredient standards, process specifications, and formula compliance Track, report, and review KPIs Bachelors Degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field Experience in the food, beverage, or dietary supplement industry At least 3 years' experience in Quality Assurance/Compliance, preferably in a manufacturing environment Knowledge and experience with SQF Auditing guidelines and/or other GFSI audit schemes Certified Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI) preferred Familiar with Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Workspace, and DropBox Ability to perform basic arithmetic computations Great communications skills, both written and verbal Strong organization and time management skills Able to work independently with little oversight on routine tasks Good verbal and interpersonal skills Excellent team player Additional Requirements: Work is performed in-office, Monday - Thursday, remote on Friday.
