Doggie Salon & Spa is a membership‑based grooming salon in SLO that's growing fast — and we need someone with energy, initiative, and a genuine love for dogs to own the client experience from door to door. You'll run the booking calendar, drive rebooking and retention, sell memberships, and build the kind of relationships that turn one‑time visitors into lifelong members. What you do at this desk shows up directly in our numbers. And we reward it. THE BEST PART: THIS ROLE GROWS WITH YOU Months 1–6: Master the front desk. Own the schedule and client experience. Months 6–12: Take over our social media — before‑and‑after content, client spotlights, seasonal campaigns. Real creative ownership + a results‑based stipend. 12+ months: Own the full marketing strategy — membership drives, referral programs, email campaigns, community partnerships. Title and comp expand to match. This isn't a vague "other duties as assigned" promise. It's the plan. WHAT YOU'LL OWN The schedule — fill gaps before anyone notices, rebook every client at checkout, work the waitlist The client experience — greet every client and dog by name, recommend the right add‑ons, make them feel like this is the only place they'd take their dog Memberships — sell, retain, save cancellations, know who's overdue before anyone asks Accuracy — POS reconciles every night, tips are clean, zero errors WHAT YOU BRING 2+ years running a front desk (vet office, dental, hotel, salon, medical, retail management) Comfortable with booking software and client messaging platforms Sales confidence — you recommend services because you believe in them, not because you're told to You know your numbers without being asked Professional, warm written communication You love dogs — not theoretically, you get on the floor with them COMP & BENEFITS $19–$20/hr base, full‑time Up to $900/month in performance bonuses (schedule fill rate + add‑on attach + Google reviews) Pay progression: FD I → FD II → FD III — defined milestones, defined raises 30/60/90 structured onboarding PTO, team bonuses, profit‑share eligibility after 6 months BONUS POINTS Pet care or veterinary experience Membership/subscription sales background Social media content creation Bilingual (English/Spanish) #J-18808-Ljbffr
