We know how to identify and implement innovative solutions for our client's toughest challenges.Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in Waco, Texas during the day shift, mid shift, and night shift. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, signs, guardrail and/or drainage and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.Required Experience:Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand toolsAir compressor operations familiarityConstruction or Roadway maintenance experienceGuardrail and Sign installation experienceConcrete forming/repair experienceMOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operatorMinimum 2 years of related experienceMust have a valid Driver's LicenseClean driving record is essentialMust pass criminal background checkBilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not requiredCDL License a plusPreferred Experience:Roadway maintenance experienceHigh School Diploma/GEDMaintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)Knowledge of local driving rules and regulationsCarry out simple arithmetic functionsMaintain proper safety equipment required for each jobKnowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technologyAbility to use smart phone and applicationsAbility to adjust to changing work scheduleAbility to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditionsCapable of lifting up to 50 poundsAbility to operate hand/power toolsSchedule: Full time; Day, Mid and Night shift available.
