Senior Network Architect

Our Client is looking for a Senior Network Architect to support a large-scale Next Generation LAN/WAN modernization initiative.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, migrate and troubleshoot Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) environments.

• Configure and support Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, including firewall policies, high availability and cloud logging.

• Develop high-level and low-level network designs and detailed network design workbooks.

• Configure Cisco routers, switches, SD-WAN appliances and firewalls based on approved network designs.

• Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.

• Implement centralized and localized SD-WAN policies, including application-aware routing.

• Install and configure SD-WAN routers, LAN switches and HA firewalls across project locations.

• Design and implement QoS policies supporting enterprise voice and VoIP services.

• Support advanced Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking using Cisco Nexus 9K switches.

• Configure and support Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager for identity and network access management.

• Support IPv6 network implementations.

• Configure networking within VMware ESXi, including vDS, clustering and high-availability environments.

• Assist with network configuration management and automation using Ansible, Ansible Tower, Jenkins and API scripting.

• Support network monitoring and operational tooling including ELK/Elastiflow and NetBox.

• Work with Windows Active Directory, LDAP, DNS and Infoblox or similar technologies.

• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure during pilot implementation and production support phases.

• Work with facility and cabling SMEs to support infrastructure remediation activities.

• Support network services operating within 24x7 critical environments.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) implementation, configuration, migration and troubleshooting.

• Strong experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, including installation, configuration and day-to-day operations.

• Advanced understanding of IP networking and routing protocols, particularly OSPF and BGP.

Qualifications

• Approximately 7-10+ years of network engineering / technology architecture experience.

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, Agile and highly collaborative environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience supporting highly available or 24x7 mission-critical environments is strongly preferred.
