Full Time - Respiratory Therapist

Role Overview The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides a range of therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures, including ABG analysis, PFTs, ventilator management, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. Proficient in respiratory assessment and treatment for both adults and neonates, the RRT performs procedures under indirect supervision and adheres to departmental policies. Key Responsibilities Administer and evaluate respiratory therapies such as oxygen, aerosol, humidity, and mechanical ventilation. Perform diagnostic procedures including arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, pulmonary function tests, and electrocardiograms. Conduct physical assessments, review patient records, and interpret data like CXR, ABG, and PFT results. Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain cardiopulmonary equipment, ensuring safety and infection control. Participate in quality assurance, safety protocols, and patient satisfaction efforts. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program. Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP and PALS within one year of hire. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing and registered by the NBRC. Minimum of six months of respiratory care experience.
