About Gravel Run Custom Pumping
Established in 2016, we are a growing custom manure application business that provides dragline manure application services to hog, dairy and beef producers in East Central Iowa.
About the position
> Must be dependable, honest, and able to handle challenging problems in changing conditions
> Able to work well with others in a team environment while being self-motivated at all times
> Be detail oriented in work habits and equipment upkeep
> Expect to work over 70 hours some weeks in-season during manure ap spring & fall, off season hours are more flexible
> Being mechanically inclined is helpful to perform general shop work, maintenance, repair, problem solving, etc.
> Expected to safely and carefully operate, service, repair and maintain on and off-road vehicles and equipment
> Strive to become a liquid manure application lead. There is growth potential of being a line manager within 2 years
> Identify ways to grow the application business and make application operations more efficient
> Be prepared to work weekends during spring and fall busy seasons
> Obtain commercial manure applicator license within 1 month of start date, we will cover fees
Required Education and Experience
> Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
> Regular and consistent attendance
> Strong work ethic with a desire to do a good job every time
> Able to work well with others in a team environment
> Valid Driver’s License
Preferred Experience
> Some experience with machinery will be helpful
