We are keen on adding a Dental Hygienist who thrives in this structured yet nurturing atmosphere and is enthusiastic about contributing to our legacy of dental excellence.Duties and ResponsibilitiesConduct initial dental assessments and consult with dentists on patient care.Perform dental cleaning and apply preventive materials.Assess and record patient oral health and report progress or concerns to the dentist.Provide guidance on proper dental care practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.Assist with diagnostic tests and x-rays.Manage infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment.Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).Counsel patients about plaque control and developing individualized preventive oral health practices.Maintain patient dental records; routinely update the record during each visit.Monitor supplies and equipment; order as needed with budget considerations in mind.Stay current with developments in dental materials and techniques for patient benefit.RequirementsAssociate degree or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program.Current state license as a Dental Hygienist.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office.Excellent working knowledge of overall dentistry and dental hygiene procedures.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with other team members.Proficient in the use of modern dental technology and software.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly explain treatment plans and oral health care strategies to patients.Demonstrable ability to manage time, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.Capability in engaging with patients of all ages, making them feel at ease during treatments.Prior experience with co-diagnosis, treatment, and management of periodontal disease.Skilled in the enrollment of restorative dental needs and effective patient education.A positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a cooperative team environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
