Heavy Equipment Operations & Diesel Technology Instructor, Career & Tech September 2026 Job ID: 5525914 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Feb 03, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description TITLE: Teacher, Natural Resources- Career & Tech September 2026 TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month REPORTS TO: Career & Tech Building Principal TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Provide juniors and seniors with classroom instruction, project-based learning and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in the Heavy Equipment & Diesel Technology Field. Communicate with parents, teachers, home school counselors and others involved in the education of the student Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites Monitor students’ academic progress including, but not limited to progress/marking period grades, attendance, hands-on performance skills Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs Keep current with changes and developments in the welding industries Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Teaching and work experience in heavy equipment operation, diesel technology maintenance and repair, landscape design and installation, and horticulture are preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be eligible for NYS Heavy Equipment/Diesel 7-12 Certification.
