Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2 years of L&D experience and Cerner proficiency.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit caring for females of childbearing age, including patients from 17 weeks gestation through delivery
• Handles admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries (vaginal and C-section)
• Performs scheduled procedures including C-sections, external cephalic versions, and occasional cerclage
• Manages triage issues for laboring and antepartum patients
• Uses fetal monitors along with Cerner and FetaLink documentation systems
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts per week
• 9-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
• Current NRP certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience in a US hospital setting required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Rapid start position requiring availability within 7 days of offer
• Expedited onboarding process requires timely submission of compliance documents including background screening, license verification, current certifications, and flu/COVID vaccination or declination form
• Must live within 50 miles of the facility
• First-time travelers may be considered
