Senior Center Assistant

About the Role: Part-Time Monday-Friday 20 hours per week Join the South Fulton Senior Services team as a Senior Center Assistant, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our senior community. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to support our programs and services in a friendly and engaging environment. Responsibilities: Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities for seniors. Provide support and companionship to participants, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Coordinate transportation and manage attendance for scheduled events. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the center and its resources. Assist with meal preparation and distribution during meal programs. Document participant feedback and report any concerns to management. Engage with families and caregivers to enhance communication and support. Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in senior care preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for working with seniors. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Basic computer skills for record‑keeping and communication. CPR and First Aid certification is a plus. Must pass a background check and have reliable transportation. Positive attitude and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors.
