Network Administrator IIClearance: U.S. Citizen with Secret clearance (minimum)Location: Bluegrass Station, Lexington, KY (primary); travel to Ft Walton Beach, FL and Crestview, FL may be requiredPosition Summary:The Network Administrator II provides Tier 2 and Tier 3 network support for the SOFSANet enterprise. This role is responsible for the planning, implementation, management, and coordination of enterprise data, voice, and video networks, and provides high-level technical expertise across LAN/WAN infrastructure supporting PEO SOFSA operations.Key Responsibilities:Perform Tier 2 and Tier 3 network support for SOFSANetTest and analyze elements of network facilities including power, software, security features, communications devices, communications lines, modems, and terminalsPlan, model, simulate, design, install, maintain, manage, and coordinate the enterprise networkMonitor and control the performance and status of network resources using software and hardware tools; identify and diagnose complex problems affecting network performanceEngineer enterprise data, voice, and video networks for the PEO SOFSA EnterpriseEstablish and operate network test facilitiesMaintain secure transfer of data to multiple locations via internal and external networksWork with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing managementProvide high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology including LAN/WAN hardware, switches, bridges, and routersStudy vendor products to determine those that best meet the Government's needsProvide guidance and direction for junior network support techniciansRequired Qualifications:8 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems and network administration, including 2 years of specialized experience related to the assigned taskExtensive experience in network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols and TCP/IP, and server and network infrastructureStrong background in DoD network (dot.mil) operationsDegree requirement may be substituted with experience directly supporting a DoD organization's IT/network operationsCertification Requirements:Appropriate certificate for system(s) being administeredDoD 8140 DCWF requirements for Network Operations Specialist (Work Role 441) — Intermediate Qualification LevelTravel:Minimal; primarily on-site at Lexington, KYNetSEA Technologies, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
