Production Technician

Production Technician -NatureWorks in BlairNatureWorks is an advanced materials company providing renewably-sourced polymers and chemicals to industries such as packaging, fibers, and chemicals. Our Ingeo™ polymers offer eco-friendly alternatives to oil-based products and are used in various applications from electronics to 3D printing.We are seeking a Production Technician responsible for the safe, daily operations of our production plant. This role involves environmental compliance, ensuring product quality, and maintaining plant safety. The position requires 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will rotate from days to nights every 8 weeks. Our plant is located in the Blair bio-refinery campus.Key Responsibilities:Safety Leadership: Ensure plant safety, identify unsafe conditions, and follow EH&S policies.Operations: Operate equipment, monitor plant systems, troubleshoot, and adjust processes as needed.Collaboration: Communicate with supervisors about quality and cost control improvements.Housekeeping: Maintain plant cleanliness and support overall plant upkeep.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Manufacturing experience desired.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Compensation & Benefits:Pay starts at $27.50 per hour.Benefits begin on day 1.3 weeks of vacation, 6 family/sick days.8.5% company 401k contribution.Join NatureWorks and help drive sustainability in the materials industry!Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
