Industrial Electrician

Position: Facility Electrician Location: Grand Rapids, MI Job Type: On-site Reports to: Facility Manager Department: North American Operations Position Purpose: Provide industrial electrical maintenance support and analysis to assist Leadec in maintaining & improving the capability of machinery and equipment to achieve customer objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot problems and diagnosed issues with electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to install and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
- Install and maintain electrical control systems for industrial machinery and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as engineers, mechanics, and technicians, to complete projects and repairs.
- Provide training and guidance to apprentices and other junior electricians.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain inventory of required equipment and supplies.
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.

- Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to industrial electrical work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
- Experience working in industrial settings such as factories, plants, or warehouses.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to keep up with industry developments and advancements.
- Skilled in Root Cause based maintenance practices.
- Exceptional planning, communication, and Leadership skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
- Three plus years of experience in Industrial Electrician Maintenance related duties.
- Licensing and certification as an electrician a plus.
- Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus.
- Experience in Union environment
- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces from 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
