Job Description:The Food and Beverage Team Member will prepare beverage and food orders in accordance with the Dialtone standards and recipes. Manage flow of guests in and around café, restaurant, and retail area. Keep areas clean and organized. Provide great customer service.Perks and Benefits:Competitive pay & a Comprehensive Benefit Package.Other benefits include Health Saving Account, Flexible Saving Account, Employee Assistance Program.Annual Education AllowanceGenerous Referral ProgramFun & collaborative company culture with lots of team building eventsFriends and Family rates for Level Hotels & Furnished Suites, The Opus Hotel, and The Emily HotelWhat Will You Do?Taking orders: Servers take food and drink orders accurately and communicate menu items to customers.Serving food and drinks: Servers deliver food and beverages to customers.Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and create a fun experienceEnsure the overall guest experience exceeds expectations and anticipates guests’ needs.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menu offerings.Use Sales techniques to present and encourage current promotions to guests.Accommodate guest dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring all modifications are communicated effectively to the kitchen staff.Cash handling: Record sales, operate cash registers, and handle cash paymentsProficiency in the use and operation of all necessary tools and equipment, including the POS system and Frequent Diner, Gift Card and Credit Card TerminalsUse Tact and good judgement when dealing with guest challenges and respond to guest needs with patience and courtesy.Drink preparation: Make hot and cold drinks, like coffee, tea, espresso, and cocktails, and customize orders to customer preferencesFood service: Prepare and serve food like sandwiches, muffins, and baked goodsManage inventory for pastries, snacks, coffee, tea, liquor, and other food/beverage ingredients.Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and preparing menu items to support smooth kitchen operations.Monitor restaurant stock levels, restocking ingredients, and supplies as needed to maintain workflow during service hours.Clean and sanitize in-store food surfaces, tools, and equipment regularly to ensure compliance with food safety standards.Deliveries: Helping other team members to unload and store deliveriesStocking: Stock supplies and merchandiseFollow All Steps of ServicePerform Thorough Mopping and Sweeping of the floors, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are met, using the appropriate cleaning solutions and equipment.Trash: Emptying trash containers and rinsing garbage cansSpills: Cleaning up spills and broken glassware immediatelyCleaning: Washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, and cleaning kitchen appliances and machinesComply with all safety and sanitation guidelines and procedures.What You Bring?Previous experience as a barista/cook/serverRestaurant and/or coffee shop experience preferredHigh School Diploma or GEDSalary Range:$17.00-$18.00 per hour + tipsAbout The Company:OnniFor over half a century, Onni has been building communities for people to live, work, and play.
