Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Echocardiography - My client, a 200+ bed healthcare facility located in TN in the middle between Nashville and Knoxville has a need for an Echo Tech to join their team. This position is responsible for working directly with patients and physicians, performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms while providing patient care and patient safety as established by department standards. This position is responsible for performing a variety of dependent and basic secretarial, clerical and housekeeping functions such as customer service, examination and work area cleaning, telephone communications, computer system data entry, information retrieval, (HIS, RIS, PACS), and infection control. We have 1 open Full-Time Echo Sonographer position. The pay range is $36.00-$46.00|hr., depending on experience as to where they fall at within the pay range. Monday-Friday 7a-3:30p, Outpatient Center, Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience. Needs to be proficient in all types of stress echo (treadmill, bicycle, dobutamine, Low flow AS, etc.) We also offer a sign on bonus or loan forgiveness with an 18 month contract post orientation (with terms): 2+ years experience- $7,500 sign on bonus -OR- up to $3,500 loan forgiveness with an 18 month contract post orientation Shift Differentials are as follows: $1.15 (if work 4 or more hours between 3p-11p) $1.65 (if work 4 or more hours between 11p-7a) $3.00 (weekends- if work between 11p Friday night to 7a Monday morning) $4.00 (holidays) QUALIFICATIONS Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or Business required, Bachelors preferred. Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in Echocardiology. ARDMS Registry Eligible employees MUST obtain certification meeting the aforementioned requirement within 6 months after employment date. Each employee is responsible for acquiring his|her own Continuing Education Credits to stay in good standing with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. One year of experience in complete 2D, m-mode, Adult Echo and Transesophageal Echo preferred. Must have then skills and knowledge in performing multi-plane cardiac ultrasounds with the ability to perform required calculations such as valve area, valve gradients, pressure calculations, velocity and other calculations.
