Maintenance Machinist

Maintenance MachinistWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Machinist to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining mechanical components and equipment using precision tools and machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, machining experience, and the ability to work safely and efficiently with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:Read and interpret prints, drawings, and precision measuring equipment to perform accurate machining and assembly tasks.Disassemble, fabricate, and reassemble mechanical parts and equipment to proper operating condition as needed.Machine and fabricate parts from a variety of materials to close tolerances.Operate and maintain shop equipment, including: LatheMilling MachineVertical and Horizontal SawsSurface and Pedestal GrindersWelding EquipmentPrecision Measuring ToolsOther tools and equipment as requiredEnsure all work meets established quality and safety standards.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Pass and comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) electrical safety training.Work both independently and cooperatively with others around operating equipment.Qualifications:Proven experience as a machinist or maintenance machinist, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.Strong understanding of precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Ability to lift 25 lbs or more repetitiously.Demonstrated commitment to safety procedures and practices.Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
