Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT-T certification and 1+ year of experience for an acute care hospital's radiation oncology department with advanced treatment modalities. Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist required BLS and ARRT-T certifications required Compact state license required, must be in hand at time of consideration License required if applicable Epic charting experience required Experience with adult acute care and outpatient settings Experience treating a variety of cancers including Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Kidney Cancer, Leukemia, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, and Pancreatic Cancer Skills in beam modifying/positioning, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and custom shielding Ability to perform patient/family teaching and chart checks Experience with lift/transfer devices and care of patients in restraints Responsibilities Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM May require floating between like units and sister facilities Uses Epic for electronic charting Advanced treatments including IMRT, SRS, external beam therapy, and respiratory gating Treatment units include Elekta Synergy and Elekta Infinity Uses Mosaiq and C-RAD systems Responsibilities include pretreatment, simulation of treatment sites, and supervising implementation of treatment plans Role involves radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions/PPE Black scrubs required for Radiology staff First-time travelers accepted with required experience Returning former employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Local candidates accepted, with a 50-mile radius rule for travel rate eligibility RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with limited flexibility post-offer Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays Free parking provided on first day, with assignment parking arranged during orientation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan #J-18808-Ljbffr
