Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | No Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed neuro medical/surgical telemetry unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and assess patients requiring telemetry, neurological observation, and medical/surgical interventions
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including Stroke NIH assessments, EEGs, gastric decompression, and wound care
• Operate and utilize unit equipment including Welch Allyn vital sign monitors, COWs, Hoyer lifts, PCA pumps, CareView Virtual Sitter, Telepsych, and Teleneuro systems
• Document all patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements of 4 shifts per scheduling period

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical/surgical or telemetry setting
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NIH Stroke Scale certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Prior experience in a neuro medical/surgical or telemetry unit environment
• Team-oriented, self-motivated work style with strong communication skills
