Assistant Facilities Manager

This job is responsible for supervising Building Services Technicians, overseeing maintenance and repair of facility systems including HVAC, compressed air, wastewater treatment, fire suppression, and electrical systems, managing vendor relationships and facility improvement projects, maintaining building records and CAD layouts, ensuring continuous utility services, supporting energy and waste reduction initiatives, and driving continuous improvement of building systems in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Supervise and direct activities of the Building Services Technicians, providing regular guidance and training as needed. Supervise the maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment including but not limited to compressed air, wastewater treatment, cooling towers and tanks, fire suppression and building security, plumbing, electrical, lighting, balers, Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, and HVAC. Supervise the maintenance and repair of company-owned vehicles, including passenger vehicles, maintenance carts, and lifts. Assist technicians with maintenance tasks as needed, such as electrical, plumbing, and/or fabrication. Interface with vendors to discuss facility maintenance system and improvement needs. Negotiate to ensure cost-effective solutions. Manage timelines and technical details for improvement and repair projects with various contractors and/or Building Services Technicians. Ensure the continuous service from all applicable utilities. Serve as primary contact with the outside cleaning service to ensure the proper physical upkeep and cleanliness of the building. Serve as primary contact with the outside landscaping service to ensure the proper physical upkeep and cleanliness of the grounds. Support the continuous improvement of energy usage and waste reduction. Maintain and regularly update various maintenance and informational records for the building systems. Maintain and regularly update CAD layout drawings of the facility. Research latest technology trends for building systems improvement and make recommendations for implementation. Develop and maintain schedules and standard procedures for continuous improvement of building systems management. Respond/delegate responses to Building Services help tickets in a timely manner. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering, or other related technical area, or equivalent or five years of experience with building and/or equipment maintenance. Three years of supervisory experience, or demonstrated leadership ability. Verbal, written, and cross-cultural communication skills. Working knowledge of Facilities engineering and maintenance methods. Working knowledge of compressed air systems, fire suppression systems, wastewater treatment, general mechanical and electrical systems, and HVAC. Ability to read and understand technical material. Computer literate with experience in the Microsoft Office suite. Working knowledge of AutoCAD for creating and maintaining building layout drawings. #J-18808-Ljbffr MBS Professional Staffing
