Sr Scientist, Sterility

Senior Scientist position in sterility testing and rapid microbiology methods at a pharmaceutical contract research organization. Based onsite in New Brunswick, New Jersey, this role involves developing, validating, and implementing alternative microbial detection technologies to support drug product manufacturing and clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory methods for sterility, mycoplasma, and rapid microbial detection testing
• Evaluate and implement rapid microbiology technologies to support aseptic manufacturing processes
• Develop and validate phase-appropriate microbiological methods for clinical and commercial drug products
• Provide analytical data and findings to cross-functional development teams
• Perform technology transfer execution and assays at commercial sites

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, molecular biology, or related life sciences
• 4+ years relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years experience, or PhD with relevant experience
• GxP experience in pharmaceutical analysis including analytical or microbiological methods
• Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to perform under pressure while managing multiple projects
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship

Compensation: $73,000–$85,000 base
