Donor Care Specialist - RN, LPN or MLT

Job Title Donor Care Specialist – Charlotte, NC Location & Shift 13500 South Point Blvd, Ste L., Charlotte, NC 28273 Shift: Tuesday - Saturday, Second Shift, 3:00pm - 11:30pm. Hybrid position: after required training, work in office twice a month. Compensation Salary: $22.60 per hour + Shift Differential ($1.75 after 3pm, $2.75 on weekends). Responsibilities Manage routine to moderately complex donor complication cases, providing appropriate care and gathering necessary information. Provide timely, accurate answers to donors and staff regarding donor eligibility, complaints, and concerns; manage cases to resolution. Escalate difficult or sensitive questions as needed. Perform medical director/designee review and quality review for donor complication cases to maintain regulatory standards. Investigate discrepancies in donor records; correct, update, verify changes; ensure confidential handling and identify impacted suspect products. Monitor security to ensure only authorized personnel access confidential donor records. Prepare reports regarding donor complication cases. Scope Work performed within a specialized discipline requiring medical/scientific certification or licensure, under clear guidelines and supervision. Qualifications Education: High School or equivalent with medical certification such as RN, LPN, or MT/MLT required. Associate’s degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in patient care, blood collections, patient testing, or equivalent combination. Management Experience: N/A Skills & Abilities: Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to probe donors to elicit accurate health history; intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office; teamwork ability. Travel: Some travel may be required. Bilingual is helpful. New graduates encouraged to apply. Combination of education and general experience may satisfy requirements if combined years meet minimum.
