Marketing & Communications Specialist

Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin Inc

The Marketing and Communications Specialist produces the creative, social media, and marketing work that carries CFSW's message to donors, advisory boards, and the communities the Foundation serves. Working from strategy set by the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Specialist turns that direction into finished materials and content across print, digital, and social channels. The role works closely with Donor Services Representatives to support funds, advisory boards, and community outreach, and helps maintain brand consistency while providing general marketing support as priorities shift. What You'll Do Creative Production Design materials for component fund requests, including donation-page graphics and print collateral Collaborate with the team to produce the Foundation's annual report Develop signage and presentation materials for capital campaigns serving CFSW funds and partner nonprofits Create graphics and select images for social media and marketing use Prepare materials, signage, and toolkits for community events Social Media and Digital Content Write and schedule posts for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram Create short-form video content, such as reels, to strengthen engagement Maintain a content calendar to keep posting consistent and in tune with current/local events and news Make light content updates to the CFSW website (Director owns most site changes) Work with Donor Services Representatives and Advisory Boards to turn grant and scholarship outcomes into social and short-form content Brand Support and Marketing Operations Review materials for brand consistency and flag items outside brand standards Maintain templates and approved assets and distribute them to staff and Donor Services Representatives Provide general marketing support as organizational priorities change Respond to routine marketing questions when the Director is out of office, escalating significant matters as needed Identify regional events and information sessions that benefit the community and CFSW, and help coordinate staffing What You'll Need Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a similar field, or equivalent experience 2-3 years of experience in marketing, design, communications, or a related field Skill in Canva or comparable design software, producing clean, on-brand materials Strong writing ability for social media content in a defined brand voice Ability to use AI tools appropriately and effectively in daily work Ability to manage several projects at once and adapt to a workload that shifts through the year Ability to work independently, accept direction and feedback, and escalation significant matters appropriately Nice to Have Adobe Creative Suite experience (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Logo and brand identity design experience Short-form video, photography, or video editing skills Familiarity with WordPress for light website updates Experience with Claude or similar AI tools Experience with Hootsuite or similar social media tools Experience with Monday.com or similar project management tools Nonprofit or community foundation experience Demonstrated storytelling skills - turning a fund or program outcome into a compelling story #J-18808-Ljbffr
