MONTESOL MEDICAL CENTERS LLC is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Referral Coordinator to join our growing team in West Palm Beach, FL. In this vital role, you'll be the key link between patients, providers, and specialist offices — ensuring seamless care coordination and an exceptional patient experience. - Process and manage patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely authorization and scheduling
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations as required by payers
- Communicate with patients, physicians, and specialist offices to coordinate care transitions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Follow up on pending referrals and authorizations to prevent delays in patient care
- Respond to patient inquiries regarding referral status in a professional and timely manner
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with managed care guidelines
- 1+ years of experience in medical referrals, prior authorization, or healthcare administration
- Familiarity with insurance verification, managed care, and HMO/PPO referral processes
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical office software
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ICD/CPT coding basics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the South Florida market
