Maintenance ManagerThe Maintenance Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the NCCO's Fort Worth maintenance and reliability functions to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for developing and leading a high performing maintenance organization that maximizes equipment reliability, supports production objectives, and fosters a culture of Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement.The Maintenance Manager is accountable for maintenance planning and execution, asset reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance programs, workforce development, contractor management, spare parts administration, capital improvement support, and effective utilization of maintenance resources.Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but is not limited to:Safety LeadershipChampion a culture where safety is the highest priority and every employee is accountable for safe work practicesEnsure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, machine guarding, and environmental requirementLead incident investigations, corrective actions, and proactive risk reduction initiativesPromote employee participation in safety observations, audits, and continuous improvement activitiesMaintenance and Reliability LeadershipDevelop and execute the site's maintenance and reliability strategy aligned with business objectivesLead preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability and reliabilityEstablish maintenance priorities based on business criticality, production requirements, and riskEnsure effective planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance workLead root cause failure analysis and implement permanent corrective actions to eliminate recurring failuresDrive continuous improvement of equipment performance through reliability engineering principlesSupport capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, and lifecycle asset managementOperational Excellence and Continuous ImprovementFoster a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma and structured problem-solving methodologiesIdentify and eliminate waste, reduce equipment losses, and improve maintenance efficiencyDevelop standardized maintenance procedures and best practicesUtilize data and key performance indicators (KPI's) to identify trends, prioritize improvements, and measure resultsLead Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement initiatives that increase productivity and operational reliabilityPromote standard work, visual management, and disciplined execution across the maintenance organizationPeople Leadership and Employee EngagementBuild highly engaged, accountable, and skilled maintenance team through coaching, mentoring, and leadership developmentFoster an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous learningEstablish clear expectations, performance goals, and development plans for maintenance personnelConduct regular performance evaluations and provide timely coaching and constructive feedbackPromote cross-training to improve workforce flexibility and organizational resilienceRecognize employee contributions and encourage participation in continuous improvement activitiesDevelop succession plans for key maintenance positionsMaintenance Planning and Asset ManagementDevelop weekly and monthly maintenance schedules that balance preventive maintenance with production requirementsUtilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, equipment history, and maintenance metricsEnsure preventive maintenance activities are completed on schedule and continuously evaluate their effectivenessEstablish equipment criticality and prioritize maintenance activities based on business riskManage spare parts inventory to ensure critical components are available while managing inventory costTechnical ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise in troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment including:PLC – controlled systemsElectrical systems (480VAC, 240VAC, 120VAC, 12-48VDC)Process ControlsHydraulic and pneumatic systemsCompressors, motors, gearboxes, VFDsSensors, solenoids, automation systemsRead and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematicsUtilize diagnostic equipment, multimeters, HMIs, and software tools to troubleshoot equipmentCoordinate with OEMs, contractors, and technical service providers to resolve complex equipment issuesProject and Budget ManagementSupport capital improvement projects from planning through implementationDevelop maintenance budgets and manage department spendingRecommend equipment replacement or upgradesPerformance Measurement – Monitor Maintenance MetricsUtilize performance data to identify improvement opportunities and communicate progress through regular reporting and visual management toolsDevelop and establish maintenance metrics that will drive the downtime/breakdown reductionQualifications/Skills/Abilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education & Experience RequirementA High School Diploma or GED is requiredIn addition, we require one of the following:An Associates or Higher degree5+ years of progressive industrial maintenance experience2+ years of experience Managing Maintenance Technicians4+ years training in the military (e.g. electronics, maintenance, computers)Preferred Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical disciplinePrevious maintenance leadership or supervisory in a manufacturing environmentExperience supporting Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, TPM, or Operational Excellence initiativesExperience deploying and/or using a CMMS platformMust have:Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance systemsExperience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial automationUnderstanding process controls, instrumentation, hydraulics and pneumaticsAbility to read electrical, mechanical and pneumatic schematicsAutoCAD experience is a plusStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentStrong decision making and conflict resolution abilitiesDemonstrated commitment to continuous improvementAbility to analyze data and make informed business decisionsStrong problem-solving skills with a focus on sustainable operationsProficient in Microsoft Windows, Office, and related softwareAbility to interact with contractors, vendors, property managers and utility companiesHave a valid U.S driver's licenseThe above Job Description is not intended to be an all-encompassing list of responsibilities, skills, efforts, or working conditions associated with this position.
