Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognitive skills, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions with a focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
• Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout treatment.
• Ensure timely and precise documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
• Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and professional collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of beginning employment.
