Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing standardized and observational methods.
- Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognitive skills, or swallowing.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions with a focus on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Engage in collaboration with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to formulate cohesive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to bolster progress beyond clinical sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring a smooth continuum of care throughout treatment.
- Ensure timely and precise documentation that aligns with state, federal, and organizational protocols.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuing education and professional collaboration.
Education
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of beginning employment.

- Strong command of evidence-based treatment methodologies for various age groups, with comprehensive knowledge of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills when working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
