Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to company standards, ensuring quality, consistency, and timely service. This role supports kitchen operations in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment.

This is a non-exempt position that works closely with kitchen team members and supports overall restaurant performance.

As a Line Cook, you will:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company standards
• Ensure food quality, portioning, and presentation meet brand expectations
• Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards at all times
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Manage assigned station to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
• Monitor food levels and assist with prep and restocking as needed
• Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and expeditors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Adapt to varying responsibilities during shifts based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

Pay Range: $14 per hour – $16 per hour

Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, location, and business needs.

This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Stand for extended periods

• Work in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment

Work Environment

This role operates in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cooking equipment, noise, and fast-paced operations. Team members are expected to follow all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
