Medical AssistantLocation: Calmont Operations BuildingDepartment: Locum Tenens and Pool StaffShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 32Summary: The Medical Assistant will deliver competent and skilled care to patients and families as supervised and assigned by the RN/LVN and/or physician/nurse practitioner. The Medical Assistant will deliver competent care with a team orientated attitude and an emphasis on good customer relations and sound clinical judgment. This position floats to the various CCPN office locations as assigned. Eagerly adjusts to a variety of locations, quickly learning differing routines, procedures, and physician expectations. Role model for all staff, displaying strict adherence to all policies and procedures; impeccable judgement. Exhibits extraordinary dependability and adaptability. Extensive travel required. Skillfully and consistently performs daily clinical duties per established policy and procedure.Education & Experience:A Graduate of an accredited school of medical assisting.1-year experience as a medical assistant in a pediatric outpatient care setting preferred.Certification/Licensure:Current AHA healthcare provider BLS.Valid Texas driver's license and current Texas automobile liability insurance.Current National MA certification - preferred.Hours:Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm (Depending on clinic assignment.)Float position will travel to multiple CCPN clinics (Fort Worth & Prosper)About Cook Children's:Our not-for-profit organization is comprised of a flagship medical center in Fort Worth, Texas, a new medical center in Prosper, Texas, a physician network, home health company, surgery centers, health plan, health services, and health foundation.
